RESIDENCY
APPLICANTS
APPLICATION PROCESS
We participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The Dean’s Office at your medical school will assist you with the ERAS Application process. Paper applications will not be accepted.

LSU School of Medicine ensures that its training programs select from eligible applicants on the basis of their preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials, communication skills, and personal qualities such as motivation and integrity. Programs do not discriminate with regard to sex, race, age, religion, color, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.

United States Citizens, Permanent Residents of the US, and J1 Visa holders sponsored by the ECFMG are the only applicants eligible for selection. ECFMG sponsorship as a J-1 exchange visitor is the only mechanism whereby foreign physicians may enter graduate medical education/training programs at LSU Health Sciences Center.

Interviews for our program will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning in November and continuing through mid-January. Details regarding the selection and direction for interviewees will be disseminated electronically.

We will offer interviews in a rolling fashion. Despite our desire to interview everyone that applies to our program, we have a limited number of spots available.
